What you pay

There is no subscription, no minimum volume and no charge for quotes you do not fill.

How a quote is priced

The maker reads the pair’s reference mid (a Chainlink FX feed: CAD, EUR, SGD, IDR, GBP or TRY against USD) and applies its own bid or ask spread. The spread is the maker’s business and is not published as a number; the result is. Every quote carries:
  • referenceRate: the mid the quote was priced from, in human units.
  • sellAmount and buyAmount: the exact amounts of the fill. Their ratio is your all-in rate.
  • maxFirmSize: the largest amount available right now at this rate, in both tokens.
Because a quote is a signed order, the rate you see is the rate you get. There is no re-pricing between the quote and the fill, and no slippage tolerance to set.

Levels before quotes

GET /levels returns, for every direction the makers quote, the largest size available now, its price after the spread, and the reference mid, without a key and without signing anything. Use it to show a price, to decide whether to route through Aile, and to pick a size.
Levels are indicative: only GET /quote signs. A direction with firmQuoted: false will not give a quote right now, and its reason tells you why.

Staging limits

The staging gateway trades real assets on Base mainnet under small limits so that integrations can be tested end to end. On 8 November 2026 GET /config reported limits.maxTicketUsd 5,000, maxDailyWalletUsd 20,000 and maxDailyGlobalUsd 100,000; the live values are in GET /config.
